From the Beginning
In 1917, the Utah legislature passed an Act requiring employers to carry workers’ compensation insurance. WCF Mutual Insurance Company, then known as the State Insurance Fund and later named Workers’ Compensation Fund, was established.
In 1998, WCF Mutual acquired WCF National Insurance Company, enabling us to write workers’ comp outside of Utah. Today, we are a national property and casualty carrier offering a broad range of insurance solutions to businesses of all sizes.
Despite the many changes that WCF has undergone over the past century, our commitment to the business community, our customers, our agent partners, our employees and the communities where we live and work has remained steadfast. Our top priority remains delivering a remarkable insurance experience to our customers and their employees.
